Amurrio, 20 December 2024. Tubos Reunidos Group has been distinguished with the European Award for Transparency in ESG reporting 2024 in its highest category ‘leading status’ or ‘state of excellence or leader’, which distinguishes European organisations that have been identified as leaders in their country in this area. The award specifically recognises the transparency of ESG reporting and the sustainability objectives and measures that underpin it.
The prestigious award is given every year - for more than 20 years - by the German ESG consultancy and assessment firm EUPD-Research, which has developed a standard in the assessment of ESG transparency. This standard analyses organisations based on global norms, legal frameworks and best practices in environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects.
The award recognises European organisations that have already incorporated future-oriented sustainability concepts in their companies and that communicate these concepts transparently through a sustainability report. In the case of Tubos Reunidos, the jury assessed the company's Non-Financial Information Statements, which recognise a sustainable corporate strategy focused on meeting the needs and expectations of transparent communication in relation to its sustainability strategy.
This year Tubos Reunidos has taken another step forward in its commitment to the 2024-2028 Sustainability Master Plan to advance in its decarbonisation objectives. These revolve around energy efficiency, reduction of the environmental footprint, circularity, and safety. They also include the development of the people within the group, the environment in which it operates, transparency, and good corporate governance.
