Tubos Reunidos has developed a new pipe for the downstream market with higher resistance to high temperatures in order to meet the new challenges of energy conduction such as hydrogen.
At Tubos Reunidos Group, we innovate with the aim of finding solutions to meet the needs of our customers, while also seeking to develop products with the minimum environmental impact and the most cutting-edge possible.
In 2020 we started working on the European ACHIEF project with the aim of developing a steel tube that would serve to resist the high pressure derived from energy-intensive industries, in order to reduce the impact on the generation of greenhouse gases, as well as improving the efficiency and life expectancy of the product.
The project has been developed thanks to European ERDF funds within the European Union's Horizon 2020 program.
The result of this project, developed together with nine other technological and industrial partners, has been this new tube with 11% Chromium, which better resists high temperatures while reducing corrosion levels, and which is incorporated into the Premium range of our downstream market.
In addition to increasing our product range, this new development will help our customers to reduce CO2 emissions.
